Original Description:
Finally, we have the final SeaquestriaFest mascot, Taffy! She’s a seapony who loves to party, and is ready to have a good time with everyone at the convention.
One conundrum I faced when designing my seapony pattern was figuring out how to get her to stay upright without toppling over. Ultimately, I made the base of her body considerably wider than the rest, and filled the base with weighted poly pellets (to make her bottom-heavy), then stuffed the rest of her normally. It worked rather well, I must say!
Taffy here is one of three mascots for SeaquestriaFest, an MLP convention happening in Ocean City, Maryland this month! I was contracted to make plushies for all three of their mascots, all of which will be donated to the charity auction. The proceeds will benefit JDRF, a foundation fighting against Type 1 diabetes.
