sorry i know this one is more of a sketch dfsjkfdsjkdfs anyways……  
 
so!! them! i always felt like the lesson in griffon the brush off was a bit of a weird one. like, is the lesson about trusting your gut when someone is mean to you? i know that’s probably the intended lesson, but i feel like it would be frustrating to be in gilda’s position. you’re trying to visit a friend, and her other friend won’t give you 5 seconds alone together. additionally, you get introduced as her GRIFFON friend (is that how she thinks of you?) and all of the ponies in her town act like you’re evil just because you don’t have hooves. then, you go to an welcome party, and everyone is laughing at you and tricking you, and that pony that wouldn’t leave you alone is being especially suspicious, and eventually you snap and yell at her. you expect your friend to back you up but instead it was her who was tricking you the whole time.  
 
like, sure, gilda was a total jerk to everyone, but i don’t think it’s really necessary to keep poking the bear and expect her not to get mad.  
 
despite everything, i always thought the part at the beginning of the episode where RD bugs gilda to sing the junior speedsters song and she says ‘only for you, dash’ to honestly be pretty cute. i feel like gilda clearly cares a lot about rainbow dash even if she’s a jerk to the ponyville ponies.  
 
so, i feel like after the events of the lost treasure of griffonstone, they get to sit down and just talk about everything. about how gilda was hurt by the way she was teased and not allowed a minute alone with dash, and about how dash didn’t appreciate the way she treated strangers, especially fluttershy. they reconcile and decide to keep in touch, being pen pals and visiting eachother more often. it’s on one of these visits that gilda confesses her feelings towards RD and they start to go out.

• gilda is pretty much identical, i love her design lol  
• she was born with small wings for a griffon, so she was sent to a pony flying class because they fly with much smaller wings  
• RD has a mullet  
• also, she’s a worse flier. she still has the raw speed, but has a tendancy to crash all the time  
• she’s the element of honesty and AJ is the element of loyalty
