When I started on this one the night the last episode aired, she was a nameless background pony. By the time I picked up working on it again and finished it, she had the fan-given name of Octavia, apparently. I don’t know what’s so special about her, other than she caught my eye, as well as a lot of the other fans it seems.  
 
Who decides all these unofficial names, anyway? Where do the names originate, and how in heck do they seem to appear simultaneously on every known pony board? I want to name the next random background pony, dammit! >.>
