He’s experienced similar actions in his past, and realised the amount of emberrasment from doing so  
I mean he paid big stacks of cash for a girl who never gave him some special treatment
 
Of course he’s not gonna want his son doing the same thing as he did
 
Could he have handled it better? Maybe
