Rarity Belle is a graceful, charitable business owner, political lobbyist, as well as the Element of Generosity. The latter makes her a protector of the Equestrian people. She’s also famous around Equestria as a fashion designer with her brand called Karozel [Carousel]. Every purchase people make, Rarity donates a large portion to her various charities. She’s incredibly passionate about providing school and housing to impoverished families and hosts many charity events to save money for similar causes.  
She’s absolutely adored in the public eye and her name is now synonymous with giving. She makes quite a lot of appearances on talk-shows as well as being present at summits to discuss better treatment to the working and lower class. This sometimes puts her in opposition with her husband Discord’s ex-partner and ruler of the Solar Kingdom, Celestia. The two are educated and civil mares that at their core strive for peace and a prosperous nation.  
Rarity’s learnt a lot from Celestia but likes to challenge the Sun Queen’s views. There is no malice as the two deeply like each other.
 
Overall, Rarity is a great force of change and innovations. She is loved by her people and the nation.
 
Family life:
 
Rarity’s family life is a little more difficult than her other friends as her family tends to argue and bicker. They are a huge family of strong personalities and they often clash.
 
-She and Discord are finally at a place in their marriage where they don’t argue very much. The beginning of their relationship was rocky as they are both very dramatic. Discord tends to be a little clingy and possessive of Rarity, and didn’t like having to share her attention. Rarity is emotional and can sometimes be a little manipulative. She likes things done her way and that puts her at odds with the spontaneous and chaotic being that is Discord.  
The two have had many blowouts with and they even separated for a year when their daughter Chihiro was just a baby. Now they are back together and happier than ever. Rarity is learning to calm down and make more time for her loved ones while Discord trusts Rarity a bit more and feels more comfortable with where her loyalties lie. They spend a bit of time together in “The Realm of Chaos” and Rarity really appreciates Discord’s fun nature.
 
-Misanthropy [Mister] has always been Rarity’s pride and joy. He’s elegant, fashionable and overall will go along with whatever Rarity is up to. They both share a love of fashion and he often attends fashion shows and event by his mother’s side. She’s normally the first person he goes to for advice and the two tend to gossip…a lot.
 
-Rarity’s relationship with Chiaroscuro is tense. Chihiro regularly tells Rarity to “go away” or gets mad and teleports if Rarity tries to fuss over her. Chihiro loves her mom but isn’t interested in the same things she is and finds her prudish and snobby. Rarity tries to make an effort to spend time with Chihiro and go to Dj Pon-3 concerts with her, but it isn’t an interest that comes naturally for her. Rarity laments the fact that they aren’t close but Chihiro is a bit too immature to cherish bonding with her mother.
 
-Silky is still a very young foal and can finally hold minimal conversations. All he ever wants to talk about are frogs, mushrooms, bugs and cartoons. He LOVES the dirt and is constantly staining his coat. Rarity has affectionately named him her “Piggy”, which makes him giggle. Rarity and Discord take him to parks a lot so he can run around and play. He’s a very sweet cuddly boy, Rarity just wishes he’d stop acting clingy when he’s covered in mud.
