I wasn’t sure what to do with Salix, which is why she isn’t in the batch of other employees. Because she’s wasn’t made as just an employee, but she is rather a full nextgen character; her father is a canon supporting/secondary character (Her mom’s an oc though).
 
I thought about making a different introduction to her; either a story-bit, or just a proper ref sheet… but to do that I needed to figure out her design, and the design of her clothes. And seeing as I therefore now pretty much have a non-nextgen ref sheet made… I figured I might as well make a Magifaunia employee reference ^^
 
So, this is just her information/reference in regards to her relation to Magifaunia. Her proper character introducton is to follow :)
 

 
Salix  
Horticulturist
 
Salix is one of Magifaunia’s horticulturists… and that’s pretty much all everyone knows about her. She does not speak much of her past or family, nor her private life. She’s actually generally just very quiet –as in, she doesn’t speak much. Or react much even. When someone makes her pissed, the worst she does is stop speaking altogther and grit her teeth. Happy, and she ducks her head as she smiles. She has a tendency to look a bit sad though… but won’t answer when asked if she’s okay. One of her favourite coworkers are Temperate, because he’s just as private as she is. He shows up, makes small-talk about the weather, discuss work and then leave. Perfect.
 
The reason she found work at Magifaunia was… she showed up and asked for it. How did she find it? Why did she want to work there? (Well, her job interview answer was that she wanted to do something good, something that helps the world… it sounded a bit dramatic, but also sincere). Noone really knows. She’s a mystery mare.
 
 
She is half horse, half pony, and was born in Saddle Arabia –though she had no memories of it, as she was brought to Equestria as a baby and hasn’t visited since. Because of this, she has a few non-pony features (Or, at least, features which are very uncommon among ponies); her ears are higher and less fluffly, she is very tall, her skin under her fur is black and she carries her tail very high. Those last two are from her Saddle Arabian roots specifically. Her body-shape compared to an average pony and Saddle Arabian horse can be seen at the bottom right.  
Even for a Saddle Arabian, she carries her tail very high though. It’s subconscius on her part, but she often holds it so high it even falls back over on her back when standing still.  
Always wears clothes, unless she’s sleeping. It’s not because she has a real problem being naked, so much as just what she’s used to since she was a kid. Going naked feels… off, to her. Like if you always wear a backpack and then forgot it one day.  
Despite her name being Salix, her cutie mark is not willow leaves, tree or flowers or anything to do with the genus Salix… So everyone is a bit curious why her name and cutie mark is what they are, but it’s rude to ask.
