One of my cutest Fallout Equestrians yet. :3
 
Welfare Check is a wartime medical management pony, as she always had the talent for providing fast care of other ponies. However, she is also a specialist in treating ponies infected by the radioactive Pink Cloud. She encountered the cloud enervation back when the megaspells first enveloped Canterlot, and while she grew sickly from the immediate impact, her magic contained a special chromosome that blocked the cloud from killing her by osmosis.
 
Puzzled as to why she had survived the immediate painful attack, she consulted with her teacher in medicine at the time. Upon further examination her body was displayed to be normal, but she was born with an additional chromosome compared to the normal pony, and her telekinesis contained thus more resistance against certain ailments. That special telekinetic bonus was clarified as flora, and is a very rare specialty only certain unicorns possess. At the time, only her parents and certain members of her extended family have been found to contain the ability for this additional chromosome both in body and magic, but Welfare is the first to have ever activated it.
 
So she is considered a very special unicorn, regardless. :)
 
Thanks to that encounter, not only does Welfare have a better understanding of how to treat ponies with Pink Cloud…but she can actually manipulate the cloud via her magic, as she now contains a tiny influence of Pink Cloud within her telekinesis. Not quite as powerful as the mare who possesses Cognitum, but still rather powerful. Powerful humility. 💗
 
Hence why her eyes have a slight pink underlying tinge too :)
 
Her cutie mark represents her talent for fast care, and her Pipbuck is a special custom module of the Standard 3000, that she has named the Flora Pipbuck in honor of the encounter that has made her stronger. 🌺
