You suggest retiring for the night, and your party agrees.
Moonflower: “I’ll join ya! The elder said we should wait until tomorrow evenin’ to continue with the ritual.”
Apple Basket: “If these ponies ain’t out of cheer by then, I reckon winning ‘em over will be as easy as apple pie.”
You smile at the thought. All around you, bat ponies bask merrily in the moonlight, some content to sit and relax on the soft grass, while others run and fly around boundless hills and skies; a far cry from the grouchy recluses you met mere hours earlier.
And with that, you enter Moonflower’s tent. You find the tent’s interior furnished with little more than a small table, and a floor bed covered in familiar sheets and pillows. Not much different from her actual house, all things considered.
Once ready, you all settle into bed together — not without letting the young Oracle claim her favourite spot in the middle, of course —, and cuddle up warmly under the heavy blanket.
Moonflower: “Phew! Tonight didn’t go like I thought it was gonna go.”
Apple Basket: “You’re tellin’ me. At least your trial’s over, and you got your oracle powers now, right?”
Moonflower: “Yuh uh! Do you think it’s true, that I can go into other ponies’ dreams now?”
Apple Basket: “If that’s what happened with Starbolt when that snake thing showed up, then I believe it.”
Moonflower: “Oooh, do ya think I can use my power to go into your dreams, too?”
You grin at Moonflower, and playfully remark that she never needed oracle powers to be there before.
Apple Basket: “Uh, heh… ain’t that somethin’ to think about.”
Moonflower: “Heeheehee…”
After sharing some goodnight kisses with your friends, you close your eyes, and slowly drift off to sleep to the muffled sounds of distant crickets, chirping away in the cool summer night…
