Minnie is unpredictable. She often does things that other ponies wouldn’t. She isn’t the best at saying her thoughts. When she tries to, it often ends up not making any sense or it’s taken the wrong way.  
Minnie is, unfortunately, a manipulator. She doesn’t like it when something doesn’t go her way, so she manipulates ponies by guilt tripping them. She uses the fact that her family wasn’t financially stable, but she doesn’t mention that despite that fact she was absolutely spoiled by her parents, being their only child. Minnies mother bared her quite later than most ponies would, so her mother and father didn’t want to risk getting another child. If guilt tripping doesn’t work, since she doesn’t have a backup plan, she just does everything in her power to get what she wants and if she doesn’t, she just sucks it up and is angry the rest of the time she’s with that pony/ponies, but she used to throw a temper tantrum, but she has since grown out of that and now is trying to stop doing that, because ponies have started to be not so kind to her, and she has realized that it’s not the best way to deal with things.  
She is also very stubborn and stands up for what she wants. Often ponies misunderstand it as being closed minded and not caring about other ponies beliefs and opinions, but actually she is open to listening to everyone, but that doesn’t mean she’ll agree.  
Minnies parents loved her to death. Spoiled her every chance they got, but they turned her into a spoiled brat that thought that the world revolves around her, now she has stopped thinking that, but not everything is gone. Now she just blames her parents for her not having many friends, while yes it was their fault she became an entitled spoiled brat, but she is the only one who can change that now.  
Minnies cutiemark means that her special talent is drawing and algebra. In the cutiemark, Minnie thinks, that the glowing symbolizes her ‘‘powers’’ or ‘‘magic’’ that she has learned to control. She only knows she can lift things up, but she doesn’t know where it comes from. You can tell that she is using her magic if the blue markings on her are glowing, as well as her cutiemark.
