In my alternate universe of the Equestrian Future, the Wonderbolts were at one point the most famous flight acrobatic ponies in all of Equestria. In Ancient Equestria, The Wonderbolts were stationed in Cloudsdale, but as Equestria grew and became more industrialized, a new city on top of the tall mountains near Ponyville was built and basically replaced Canterlot that was right below, in honor of Fluttershy’s brother Zephyr Breeze, the city becomes Zephyr Heights. The Wonderbolts re stationed there, although, the academy and headquarters remained up in the sky, it got moved closer to Zephyr Heights than Cloudsdale.
 
The Wonderbolts remain a sensation for a few more centuries, that was, until Equestria started to corrupt and the Equestrian War Started. Among the last Wonderbolt ponies before magic was lost was Clear Skies, who was Shatter’s mother (Her name was Cloudy Mist back then), was among one of the Senior Members of the athletic pegasi and every young Pegasus wanted to be like them. The Wonderbolts abruptly ended when there was a raid out in the meadow and Clear Skies among the Wonderbolt Ponies was shot down and sadly killed. Half of the Wonderbolts were killed that day. Princess Twilight who was temporarily ruling Equestria until the new ruler was old enough to take her place (Twilight was retired before the Royal Family, the King and Queen, had a tragic end and they had no heir, so a distant relative was chosen but she was too young to take over at this time), was devastated by this and suggested to end the Wonderbolts. She didn’t know of the attempted raid until it was too late.
 
(The future ruler: Queen Haven. She was a relative of the Royal Family and because there was no heirs or siblings, she was appointed heir to the throne. She was simply, just, Haven at this time and didn’t know that she was going to be a Queen one day)
 
And yes, the story is retconned completely. But I still need to come up with how the raid happened. But, since ponies still had their magic, there were lots of lasers and spells from the unicorns that day. This raid here is partially why the ponies later in the future go by this rumor, particularly Maretime Bay. But that’s all I can say.
 
The pink pony with the orange mane is my O.C. Clear Skies, the other two Pegasi, are just some random ponies I came up with.
