A couple days ago, I ended up watching the movie at one of my friend’s reccomendations…..and I absolutely adored it, from the story to the characters and how the ending played out. Wherever g5 is going, it has a solid start with this movie, and I could not be happier. It also is very sad at times, because if you’re like me, you remember that everyone from g4 is effectively long gone, and all that progress for equality and friendship somehow went out the window, which I still do not fully understand why. But, the seperation of pony races seems to have led to the absence of magic, which I think makes perfect sense, and with Sunny’s help, magic is restored (And she becomes an alicorn in one hell of a glow up).  
 
I love all the characters, even if Sunny and Izzy are my personal favorites, because of how well their characteristics and personalities are fleshed out. Even Hitch, who I kinda had reservations about beforehand, does take a place in my heart now.
