Name: Golden Fantasy
Parents: Pinkie Pie X (A Gypsy)
Race: Earth Pony
Cutiemark: A Fortune Cookie
Talent: Her fortune cookies; while they seem to make no sense (or are oddly specific for something that’s a game of chance), always come true.
About:
Golden Fantasy, also known as Goldie, has a very overactive imagination; so she can imagine images right before her eyes. Reshape the world around her, create imaginary friends that seem to have a life of their own. Hear music where there is none. This can disconcert many ponies because they don’t know what she’s looking at or who she’s talking to, often having conversations about the oddest things with thin air. And while she knows what’s real and what’s not, sometimes the line can get blurry. Rainbow Dust disapproves of these “delusions” of hers, she thinks it’s weird and tries to put a stop to it when she can. Beaureguard is new to the group and hasn’t quite grasped what Goldie is capable of, so it’s still confusing and a bit unnerving when she talks to herself, but it doesn’t bother the majority of her friends, so he tries to get used to it, plus Goldie is always friendly to him. Candlewick loves her imagination, he often uses his magic to peek into her mind and see what she sees around her. Apple Spice doesn’t bring it up and doesn’t talk about it. However, she doesn’t judge Goldie because of it, it’s a part of her, and Apple Spice wouldn’t wish to change one thing about her. She’s Goldie’s cousin and is probably the only one of the group that Apple Spice doesn’t completely hate. Mozart doesn’t think her imagination is a problem like Dusty does, he finds the notion of what she can do charming.
Her best friend in the entire world (aside from her friends of course) is her imaginary friend/pet; Toothy. He’s a huge alligator, and is always there for Goldie. Candlewick likes him and while Goldie works the counter of Sugarcube Corner, he’ll sit close by and have talks with Toothy about any troubles he has. He’s a great listener, he can’t talk, so the conversations are always a bit one sided, but Candlewick still enjoys it.
Goldie’s father was a travelling Gypsy, who after meeting her mother Pinkie Pie, settled down in ponyville. He runs the Fortune Teller’s Tent next to Sugarcube Corner, and when Goldie isn’t baking her fortune cookies, she can be found reading tarot cards in the tent or playing chance games out front of the bakery. It’s thanks to her father’s fortune telling abilities, and a pinch of her mother’s Pinkie Sense, that she too has a bit of a Goldie Sense. So her fortune cookies always come true. Customers will pick a random cookie from a tray she displays and somehow, they always pick the right one for them, even if Goldie doesn’t know which cookie says what fortune.
Goldie often asks; “What’s the Golden Rule?” when preaching to others to be kind, often answering the question with; “Treat others as you would like others to treat you” or any similar “Two-way street” phases.
She’s a friendly and happy pony, often playing games and singing out-loud while full orchestras back her up in her mind.
