Occupation: Being a clerk at different jobs in 10 different locations; Canterlot, Cloudsdale, Manehattan, Crystal Empire, Applelosa, Griffonstone, Our Town, Los Pegasus, Dodge City, and Fillydelphia… everywhere else EXCEPT for Ponyville…. Light did that on purpose. In all of those places, Light is a clerk of some sort.  
 
 
BACKGROUND & PERSONALITY  
 
 
Lightning is a cunning, mischievous, temerarious little pony, and Estella’s bothersome yet dearly beloved friend. Being as fast as they are, Light can be a very helpful hoof, especially when it comes to management. You would think that Light partially does their work, considering how lickety-split they are, but no, they are fairly well at responsibility and getting things done efficiently. Their bosses love this trait about Light, because it helps them out immensely. In fact, Light has earned many “employee of the month” plaques that are hung disorderly in their collection room, a room filled with things they’ve found, gained, bought, and or well stolen. However, Light isn’t integrous though, not in the slightest. Light will seize any opportunity to jet to another location and or do troublesome things while nopony is looking. And that’s where Light gets you, they’re responsible, yet very guile; how ironic.  
 
Though it may seem that Lightning’s hooves are constantly full, which they are, Lightning doesn’t think so at all. If anything, doing the same old, same old everyday gets very boring. They just feel like they’re not accomplishing anything in their life, just a consistent cycle of going to 10 jobs a day, maybe stealing or witnessing something here or there, but that’s really it. Light yearns to do wild things, to grasp the ponies’ attention, to grasp Light’s attention. Being bored makes people do the wildest things, and for Lightning, they’re no stranger to it. This tempts Lightning to continuously commit petty theft, and vandalism. As I mentioned before, they do like to steal stuff, but not all the time. But when they’re bored, they steal like it’s some sort of sport for the he// of it. Their no good friend, Gale Glider (the brown half-griffin, half-pegasus character, who is Gilda and Dumbell’s son) is always in on it too, as he also likes to mildly break the law. The two think it’s daringly fun and thrilling as they both get away with it due to Lightning’s speed. This is a horrible past-time that Lightning has succumbed to. Light needs some self-restraint, smh.  
 
Eventually, Lightning would get their wish of grasping the ponies attention as somepony caught them bolting away midair. They would soon become a prodigy, an anomaly. Something that makes the ponies gawk at, postulate about, spread rumors of. All this time, it appears that attention is what Lightning wanted, seeked, gained, and now possesses. Subconsciously, they’ve hungered for this attention ever since Light was casted out of the Wonderbolts (something that I’ll touch on in a future post). This inner egotistical behavior is a trait that was innately inherited from their mother, Rainbow Dash. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree now did it huh? Apparently…  
 
But besides all of that, Light does enjoy socializing, and hanging out with her friends, Estella, Valentine, Rocky, Golden Russet and Gale when they can. Light finds extreme joy when spending time with them, because they give Light easy attention. Not necessarily the bad egotistical attention, but the considerate, generous and personal attention. The type of attention that they sadly don’t get at home, because of “busy parents, and siblings”. Being social and outgoing may be a good trait, but it can also be a flawed one. Since Light is a traveler, they tend to meet new faces along the way. Blinded by innocent friendliness, Light tends to get attached to new ponies that give them attention quickly. And that’s reasonably a weakness. Everypony is not your friend LB!  
 
RELATIONSHIPS  
 
☆ Rainbow Dash: Lightning has mixed feelings towards their ever busy mom. Through and through, Light loves RD with all of their heart, but after getting casted out of the Wonderbolts by RD’s own resolution, feeling slightly neglected due to everything that RD is caught up with (like work and dealing with 6 dang kids), and also getting taken advantage of due to her powers (like running errands for RD and babysitting the triplets), Light’s doesn’t know if they should feel upset or acquiescent. Well, regardless they feel like both, because as infuriating it might be that RD can’t give them a second chance to join the Wonderbolts, spend more time with them, and not use their powers for RD’s own benefit, Lightning will still do everything for their mom, because they understand that RD is constantly in a lot of stress, regarding work, stability and her kids.  
Though it’s not fair, Lightning tries their hardest to be there for their mom. Lightning learns to tolerate this, and keep it in until they can get it all out in the safety and privacy of their bedroom. RD is fully aware of the things she’s done, and strives to become better. But at the same time, RD knows that she can’t be prideful and do it all by herself. Because if she does, she knows that she may crack under pressure. She needs a helping hoof, and it so happened to be Lightning most times.  
 
☆ Soarin: Fat lazy dad! Okay, not really, he’s actually pretty productive, but once he gets home, it’s either doughnuts and binge watching a movie on the couch, or napping on the couch. Yeah, Soarin is one of those dads, so don’t expect him to be cleaning up, and watch over the three little munchkins no time soon. WHY? Because he already has a speedy little 16 year old child that can do all of those things prompto. However, he’s not 100% low-down. He will treat them with free food from Light’s favorite Chinese (Mandarin????XP Y’know, like the gypsy horse and also the orange???) restaurant, or give them two free front row seat tickets to any Wonderbolt competitions (which they would then give the other ticket to Estella). Besides, how can they resist free stuff they already like to steal? Anyways, sure Lightning doesn’t like the lazy trait that has been bestowed upon their dad. But after the chores and whatnot, they sure do like lounging with him. If anything, Light spends more time with him than with RD. Other things that they would do together, is trot, fly or workout together (in the early morning), or plot something for mom (whether it is a gift or a prank). All in all, they’re amigos and best buds.  
 
☆ Siblings: First off, Light dearly misses their oldest sibling, their sister, Cascade Mist. When they were younger, Misty was one of the greatest ponies that Light has ever met. She was so compassionate and so supportive and played with Light all of the time. Misty taught them new things and always got caught up with pranking their brother, Cloudy Contrail in some way or form. Light deemed Misty as “the Greatest Big Sister in all of Equestria”, and Misty still stays true to that title. Though she’s been through a lot (dealing with her parents), she still adores her baby siblings, especially Lightning. The two frequently write letters to each other, and when they get the chance, they’ll meet up in person. And when they do, their reunions are always sappy and sweet.  
 
Oh boy, Lightning has a “love hate” relationship with their big brother, Cloudy Contrail. Cloud can be the biggest, most boastful d!ck in Equestria. However, fortunately for Light, they are VERY thick-skinned, and will tolerate his insults and bragging, but that doesn’t mean that Lightning still isn’t going to give him a beat down. They don’t hate each other at all mind you, they are just ROWDY and love to be at each other’s throats constantly; friendly competition I suppose. The two do support each other, in their own satirized way. For instance, Lightning would be like “Hey look, that’s my dumbss brother! Isn’t he marvelous!,” and Cloud would jab back and say, “Yo, shout out to my amazing sh!thead sibling!”. Yeah, they’re ridiculous…  
 
Now the three little munchkins, Crimson, Xanthia and Azure. They’re all a hoof full, and Lightning is usually winded and out numbered from them. Well, except for Azure. Light sees Zurey as an angel, and calls her that too. However, the other two are specifically nicknamed Devil (for Crimson) and Vermin (for Xanthia). After work, Lightning is usually responsible for picking them all up from their sports practices, bringing them home, feeding them and keeping them entertained until RD or Soarin gets home. Though they may be hard to handle, the three love their big sibling, and Light does back as they occasionally let them get away with certain things, like eating too much candy, watching teenager films/shows or staying up after curfew. And Light will gladly take the blame. “The three deserve to let loose every now and then, they’re kids”, Light would excuse.  
 
☆ Golden Russet: Lightning’s personally hot childhood friend. Estella has one (Polaris) so why not Light XP. When they were younger, Lightning practically grew up in Goldie’s home. Light was entrusted to be taken care of by AJ and Rara occasionally, while their son, Goldie, would be Light’s little friend. Typically, Lightning would help Goldie out on the farm, and still does. They visit him quite frequently to where it almost seems like Light works there. Goldie loves their company and forever will. Nowadays, the two may consider becoming a thing, but are just too bashful and busy to ever go through with it. Besides, Light will continue to keep crushing on him.  
 
☆ Estella: “Oh Estella, my dear bright eyed Estella, do you love me or not”. Lightning is going through a phase, that they’re never getting out of XP. No matter how many times Light tries to win Estey’s heart, they immediately get sent to the friend zone due to Estey’s obliviousness. At the end of the day, as long as they see a smile on her face, they’re happy. They would do absolutely anything to please their wonderful Princess.  
 
☆Gale Glider: The best of the best, Light’s hybrid brother from another mother. If I’m being frank, their bond is basically the same as the one with Light and Cloudy. The only difference is that Light is able to spend more time with Gale, and cause mayhem. The two are trouble and will piss off any store owners by spray painting their outside walls. They are law breakers, rebels and strive to get entertained by making somepony else’s day slightly worse. How foolish XP.  
 
☆ Others (namely Valentine and Rocky Road): Though Light grew up with the two, their relationships didn’t stay completely solid and intact once they got older (due to being busy and all over the place). Val stays secluded in her hut while Rocky stays busy with baking. So, Light simply chooses not to bother them. However, through Estella’s connections with all three of them, if they were to all hang out, the three would get along pretty well. They would recall middle school memories and tell stories of what they’ve been up to as of late. Basically catching up and whatnot. And at the end of the day, they would find new found appreciation for one another, as their bond will strengthen. Light sees them as good ponies and will rarely chat with one or the other personally.  
 
EXTRA  
 
☆ I don’t have a clear idea of what they may sound like, but they sure give me Prompto vibes from Final Fantasy 15 XP (for some dang reason).  
 
☆ May or may not become a future threat to pony society XD, (Jk)  
 
☆ Is actually a bit jealous that Estey loves Cloudy and not them… *oof*  
 
☆ Estella or Russet makes them dance in the mirror and sing in the shower.

☆ Other than being a simp for other ponies, did I ever mention that they’re good at being very flirtatious to get their way when it comes to bargaining. They can just be flirty regardless though, but most ponies ignore them because they’re smol.  
 
☆ Surprisingly, Lightning is not SUPER picky with outfits. Like they would be rocking some thuggish outfit one day, then look dazzling in a dress the next. They are very comfortable with makeup and won’t go crazy if somepony tries to dress them up like a doll. Personally for them, clothes or make-up doesn’t determine their gender.
