Naturally, Starlight Glimmer and her best friend Trixie decided to do themed costumes for this year’s Nightmare Night celebration. Starlight, going as a witch with a magically powered flying broomstick, carries Trixie, dressed up as her black cat familiar, in a bucket beneath her broom. The duo go around posing for pictures with flying pegasi (such as in this photo) and score some major hauls of candy all around Ponyville. Taking Pinkie’s advice, one is never too old for free candy! Happy Nightmare Night!
 
This is one of the pictures I did for our group’s art-jam this year! I think it turned out pretty great, tbh. Everything just sorta came together from sketch to finished picture… I was surprised, really, as I don’t typically just sketch and move straight into lines. Usually, I have to tinker, fix, and correct things neurotically until I get something I like, but this one was just ‘sketch and go’. I had a blast doing Starlight’s windswept, messy mane for this shot, same with Trixie’s sassy little scrunch face as she shows off her fully retractable cat claws and waves for the camera.
 
Well, to everyone out there that sees this, Happy Nightmare Night and Happy Halloween! Hope you had a spooky good time this year. The entire month of October is like a holiday to me, always love spooky month. Until next time, I hope ya’ll keep it classy, ponefriends ;)
