s O lil’ back drop Alicorn in this AU is the term that refers to the type of magic/the force that keeps everything in balance, so far only two creatures are known to be able to control it: Celestia and Luna, Celestial and Fiendish deities that reside wherever the fu ck they want to (idk) and co-rule over the kingdom of Equestria (?). Twi is a dark elf and comes from a long line of sorcerers so she is one, of course, but her thing is that, for some reason, she is also able to control Alicorn (whoo i’m lame). Spike’s backstory is preetty similar to his show one, basically they Sparkles were studying a dragon age that was dead because it had been damaged badly, but somehow twilight, using Alicorn, hatched the egg, giving birth (?) to Spike. The sudden shift in Alicorn alerted Celestia to Twilight, so she took it upon herself to teach Twilight in da magiics and Twi got to keep Spike as like a brother/son? so he’s a lizard wizard
