I said in my last post that i was reusing Coloratura for another story, so here it is!! Finally letting good things happen to AJ in this AU.
- Coloratura was doing incredible despite what had happened in Equestria, her career was skyrocketing and her fame was more than ever before.
She was preparing for a concert in Ponyville booked by the Mayor herself, when she heard the backstage door opening behind her “Um, hello? I’m looking for Countess Coloratura” it was a familiar voice, but couldn’t quite put her hoof on it, she spun her chair around and was greeted with the face of her old childhood friend “Oh my gosh AJ! How have you’ve been?“Applejack smiled warmly at her “So you were the Countess! i knew that sounded similar to your name, i have been…good for the most part, quite busy actually” Rara noticed the little foal in front of her friend “and who is this little cutie? must be yours, have the same adorable freckles and all!” “This is little Forest Fae! My wife’s and i little bundle of joy, in fact she was looking for y-” “There you are” they heard a voice coming from the door. “Greetings Countess Coloratura” spoke Starlight Glimmer “Looks like you’ve met my lovely wife already” “Actually we had met a long time ago Mayor Starlight, what a coincidence right? “Such a nice coincidence indeed, reconnecting with old friends is mostly…pleasant” Coloratura saw Starlight’s eyes turn cold, perhaps a bad memory? “Anyways, we hope that your stay in Ponyville is satisfactory, if your manager needs anything just ask my assistants, shall we go Applejack? Starlight turned to leave “Well RaRa, hope that we can stay in contact later! Bye!” “Yeah AJ…bye”. As Coloratura saw her friend and her family leaving she couldn’t help but feel a little sad, of course she was happy for AJ, but could she ever have something like that? A family, a home? According to Svengallop, these thing wasn’t for a star like her…
- Coloratura and Applejack had stayed in contact during the following years through letters, AJ had told her about her wonderful children…and about Starlight. With the years she had noticed how awful Starlight was behind her perfect exterior, very similar to her ex-manager Svengallop, and how Applejack had tried very hard for her marriage to work, Coloratura couldn’t give much advice, what did she knew about relationships being single? so she offered comfort instead. When one day she received a letter explaining that her wife had finally left her and her marriage in crumbles, Coloratura took the first train she could to Ponyville, she had to comfort her friend, she had no one else. When AJ opened her door she immediately broke out, and for the first time Coloratura saw how vulnerable that relationship had left Applejack.
- Coloratura retired for a while, she wanted to stay with her friend for a while. The farm was such a peaceful place, very much unlike the Manehattan or Canterlot, she felt like the old RaRa again. Applejack little son Jonagold really liked hearing her sing, he usually felt very anxious but it helped him relax, she had developed a connection to him, and her bond with his mother was only growing stronger too. She absolutely gave AJ time to heal, there was no need to rush things, but her attraction to her was obvious to anyone and with time to AJ too, no harm in trying again.
