Livia: (comes up next to her) You okay?

Prism: Yeah. No homework except that map assignment.

Livia: That’s gonna be fun! Mrs. Cheerilee is awesome!

Prism: I know! She almost never assigns homework.

Livia: And when she does, it’s fun stuff!

Prism: Do you want to meet…(looks around suspiciously, than lowers her voice to a whisper) at the Cliffs? We could make a map of those.

Livia: (whispering) Sure! She did say we could work in teams.

Prism: Let’s go!

Livia: Wait! I’ll go grab my art stuff. Jove gave them to me yesterday. We’ll spruce up the pictures a bit. Mrs. Cheerilee will LOVE it!

Prism: ’Kay. Hurry!

Livia: Be right back! (runs back into the schoolhouse)

(Prism looks around the school yard and sees her sister Spectrum and her friends)

Prism: Uh-oh. (Begins walking away)

Lancer: Hey, Prism!

(Prism cringes, turns around with an unreadable expression on her face)

Prism: Hey, guys.

Lancer: Do you like the homework assignment?

Prism: Yeah. I think it’ll be fun.

Violet: Well, you’re definitely going to get a 100% on it.

Prism: I’m not sure. My drawing isn’t terrific.

Jade: Yeah, that won’t matter a bit.

Prism: (Confused look) Why?

Jade: snort Because Mrs. Cheerilee always gives you 100 on everything.

Prism: ..No..she doesn’t…

Violet: Yeah right. Your her favorite student. (Smiles nastily)

Prism: Wha- No I’m not! She likes all her students!

Lancer: Sure.

Prism: (Flustered) Seriously! I’m not!

Spectrum: Come on, Priz. You know she likes you the best. (grins)

Prism: Spec?! Seriously?

Violet: Stop changing the subject.

Jade: Yeah.

Prism: I’m not-…Guys, honestly. You are seriously delusional if you think I’m Mrs. Cheerilee’s favorite student.

Spectrum: Sure we do… Teacher’s Pet! (smirks playfully [not nastily])

Prism: Wha––

Lancer: Haha! Teacher’s Pet! Nice, Spec!

(Spectrum grins, happy that she made all her friends laugh. She looks at Prism and her smile freezes. Prism’s eyes begin to turn red. Spectrum’s grin almost vanishes. Did I hurt her feelings?)

Jade: Aww! Is da widdle baby gonna cwy? (She lleans on Violet as they both laugh so hard they almost run out of air)

Lancer: Better go tell Mrs. Cheerilee. She’ll protect you! Maybe she’ll give you a treat for it!

Lancer/Spectrum/Violet/Jade: Haha haha hahahaha!!!

Prism: (Tears start collecting in her eyes) I…

Spectrum: Come on Priz. It’s just a jo––

(Prism runs away, tears streaming down her cheeks)

Lancer: Baby! Does she always cry like that?

Spectrum: Yep. She overreacts a lot.

Violet: Crybaby.

Jade: Come on guys. Let’s go grab something from Sugarcube Corner! (Jade, Lancer, and Violet start walking.)

Lancer: You comin’, Spec?

Spectrum: (shakes her head to clear it.) Yeah. Let’s go.
