This was the image I made for the Fluttershy slot within the MLP: FIM Next Gen Challenge sheet, but to be quite honest, the rest of the slots are likely not going to be completed with this degree of detail lol I kinda got carried away with my edgy cow angel <//3 so I’m going to go ahead and post her art ahead of the sheet being completed!

Anyways, Mama’s Boy (Retro’s band with Nessa) has slowly developed over the years; mainly just to be known by me because I’m horrible at creating/sharing my content haha. But it’s at a good point now where I’d like to start developing its story arc ^^

Mama’s Boy starts off as a local pop punk band that plays at local carnivals, festivals, and most notoriously Coffee Cake’s Cafe during it’s After Dark work hours. The Cafe is a host of numerous bands and musical talents, but most flock there in hopes of getting to party and dance to the music of Mama’s Boy.

Nessa Mae works as the band’s lead guitarist and manager during their period of minor fame and helps keep her cousin Retro within the right head space as he seemed to have delusions of grandeur. She us seen as a guitar legend to local colts and fillies, a physical threat to opposing bands, and a generally amazing manager and PR rep for her pals’ band. Nessa is the one to thank for getting their name out there, as she has connections with other musical artists within larger cities.

Once Mama’s Boy was ready to depart from its small town hub, this is when Nessa bid them a farewell, as well as the drummer Celestine. Ness and Stine choose to stick with their roots. The life of rich and famous band members just wasn’t the lifestyle the dreamed of persuing. Nessa still occasionally is contacted for managerial tasks while Celestine is still often commissioned as the band’s Glam pony.
