The moment I saw these two ponies together in a background shot, I knew I needed to make a whole brunch family!
 
Meet Eggy Toast, the oldest child of Waffle Mix and Sunny Side Up! Like his fathers, Eggy is a huge brunch enthusiast and works at their family-owned restaurant in Ponyville, after they decided to move to town from Manehattan. He also attends the School of Friendship, where his parents first met, and shares a dorm room with Prince Roux, Mistflower, and Love Letter. Eggy is an upbeat and playfully sassy stallion, flirting with anyone regardless of gender. His goal at Twilight’s academy, besides making lasting relationships, is to better his magic skill, which he believes is lacking and barely average. Fortunately, Guidance Counselor Sunset Shimmer tutors him twice a week and challenges him when it comes to his talent as a unicorn, even if he only ‘needs’ his magic to carry plates to tables for the lunch rush.
 
Meet Maple Mulberry, the youngest child of Waffle Mix and Sunny Side Up! Acting as a more hardcore employee at their parent’s restaurant even with a four year age difference, this determined teenager wants nothing more than to run the brunch diner when her fathers eventually retire. Currently a waitress at the establishment, Maple depends heavily on her magic to do her job as well as possible, usually balancing trays filled with food, drinks, and occasionally the busboy bin whenever Eggy Toast is too busy at the School of Friendship to get to his shift on time. She has no interest in going to Twilight’s Academy, to the surprise of her fathers, and instead tries to learn everything she can from her dads in order to make sure the restaurant is passed down to her.
