Original Description:

“A pony possessing a boundless compassion for others, Mage Meadowbrook gained fame for her incredible healing skills. When a disease known as Swamp Fever swept through the land, only Meadowbrook had the bravery, skill and determination to figure out the secret to a cure lay with flash bees. Donning a mask to protect her from the bess’ vicious stings, Meadowbrook harvested their honey to make medicine that saved the lives of countless ponies. She wrote down all her findings about herbs and medicine in a special journal.
Mage Meadowbrook’s virtue is Healing.”

And then, there was Mage Meadowbrook. A healer from Hayseed Swamp, she became a legend when she risked her life to recover honey from the beligerent flash bees to cure everypony of Swamp Fever. Her heroics and her Mystical Mask have been told to all, including to the equally compassionate Fluttershy when she was a filly. One thing is for certain, those two might be from different pony tribes, but they are very similar to each other, including eye design. What is unique about Meadowbrook is that she’s the only legend whose heritage isn’t exactly from ancient times, but possibly American folklore. Her ethnicity and culture would’ve been Cajun-Creole. I definitely know she’s Cajun because of her accent, especially after you’ve watched Swamp People for three consecutive years. Meadowbrook is definitely the belle of the swamp, as lovely and sweet as a water lily, Equestria never had a better healer.

Speaking of which, I developed an interest in Cajun culture during the time I watched Swamp People, and I think some of my relatives might be Cajuns too; some Arbours currently live in Louisiana and are of French Canadian descent, though I don’t know when they came there.

Now then, making her vector was simple, with some complications concerning her forelocks, but in the end, she turned out perfectly. I already had an idea for a background: Water lilies… or lotuses. However, it wasn’t as easy as I thought. But I managed to find a background that worked. I think you can make out the lotus or water lily in there. I think it’s perfect for our pretty little medicine mare.
