How did that work exactly? I’ve always wondered about how she ended up with such a sizable and rabid fanbase.
 
The best I could ever come up with was that the state of the early fandom let every minor and background character end up with a rich fanmade backstory and tons of fanart, and Trixie just got more due to being positioned as a sort of rival to Twilight. That’s just an educated guess. It still doesn’t quite feel like it covers all the attention she still gets to this day.
