As the only one who was aware of Queen Ocellus’s secret effort against Frenemy Dusk, Smolder waited anxiously for her best friend to return unharmed. And, despite her concerns, she was not going to protest the decisions of a ruler. But soon, the echoes of clanking metal and faint buzzing resonated as the queen stumbled into the caves beneath Mt. Eris, where Smolder and many others sought refuge from Frenemy Dusk’s rampage. She was battered and scarred in her fight against the Fallen. Her wings and tail were heavily damaged and shredded, and she could barely get off the ground as she staggered through the entrance of the cave. Smolder rushed to the changeling’s side, distraught at her appearance, but relieved of her safe return. Ocellus’s weary eyes met hers before she collapsed into her arms. The queen had watched in devastation as her subjects bravely fought for Equestria, only to fall to the will of the enemy. Only a tiny handful survived. The enormous guilt and responsibility she felt for leading them to their deaths was overwhelming. Without any words, Smolder simply embraced the queen as pain and sorrow poured from within her.
 
Hi there. So I know I’ve been doing al of Duskverse stuff lately, but that’s because I’m inching closer and closer to actually writing it soon. I’m really getting on board with my ideas for the story. In the meantime, I enjoy showing little moments from within my universe such as this one. This is a follow-up to the previous image:
