Happy Mother’s Day!
 
Everyone, say hello to little baby Sour Apple, Fluttershy and Big Macintosh’s eighth and final child. I’ve been meaning to introduce her for quite awhile now, I’ve had this picture in mind since I showed the birth of their first baby but hadn’t found the time. It’s a good thing that it worked as a Mother’s Day picture then.
 
I wanted to show how much things had changed since Late Riser was born. When that happened Fluttershy and Big Mac were in a panic and hurried to the hospital as soon as they could, the birth was long and stressful and little Riser gave his poor parents a terrible scare when he was born asleep and didn’t make a sound after being brought into the world. Now, fourteen years and seven children later, Fluttershy was relaxed enough to have an at home birth with the assistance of Nurse SweetHeart, and the mood is a lot calmer.
