Yes, the characters are drawn in a different style…my style
I’ll also note fluttershy is defiantly out of character, but the joke doesn’t work when she is in character
Also I dont think Twilight dyes her hairits just an easier girly thing to explain
And how is Pinkie Pie standing on two legs?…Because shes Pinkie Pie, thats how, dont ask silly questions :P
This is an idea Ive had for a while now, but I had to wait till I got my character style right before could even start with italso I needed to the time to make it
So Im tackling the subject of Tomboys & Girly Girls again, (first time was on youtube), why am I so interested in it? Well touhou is the reason, before touhou I was never very good at creating female fictional characters because I didnt have the interest in designing them, but then touhou came along and all of a sudden im interested in designing hair and clothes
And seeing as this is a subject I was never interested in till now, Ive looked at the different aspects of fictional female characters, one interesting thing I have come across is Tomboys & Girly Girls, girls who act like boys and girls who act highly effeminate.not sure what makes it so interesting, maybe its because its widely accepted for women but not men, if men act effeminate then they are labelled as homosexual, I mean go to youtube , search for videos with this shows title in it and you get comments like BRONIS R GHEYfunny how we live in a society that labels people, whats wrong with liking a show that is funny, well-written, well animated, full of dark material to make even adults cringe, clearly has a lot of work and detail put into it and is high on mythological references :D, you dont have to like it, just dont be an ass about it
Another interesting thing about fictional female characters are that they are often required to have at least one woman in a series otherwise the show can risk being labelled as sexistneedless to say this also does not work in reverse, if you have a show with an all-women cast, its either classed as made for women, made for little girls or made for perverts
Anyway, this show isnt past having boyish and girlish females, and I thought it would be interesting if they were ever in an argument over who was the more boyish/girlish, kinda hard to decide since they are all different shades on the subject, personally I think fluttershy is probably the girliest (to the point where arguing and looking displeased like she is here looks out of character), Dash is the most boyish (making the rainbows ironic) and twilight is split down the middle (literally in the picture :D), she is the most sarcastic but also can get adorably enthusiastic at times (over things like slumber parties, when she got into a private school for the gifted and when she remembered that memory)
ya know, I do have a lot more to say on the topic but I think I will save it for another day
Lastlyman what a pain it is to design everyone >.<
Applejack is a shade of orange I had struggle finding on my colour wheel, has an annoying hat to design and if you dont tie both her ponytails right then she doesnt look like her
Rainbow Dashs mane and tail is a pain, I had to do much more further editing on itand the tail is still a mess DX
And Rarity is the worst of all, I decided to do the tail in my own stylebut was forced to have to stay with her regular mane else people might not recognise herI also found out shes technically not white but a very light grey
fortunately I have done a human Twilight before so reattempting her mane was a lot easier
So yea, a picture with all six main characters, enjoy
