From having lived through it and read the intel assessments and guesses at the time about late Cold War era Warsaw Pact TO&E. Some were from the government, some from games written at the time pertaining to hypothetical near-future warfare between East and West.

That’s an RPK, not an RPK74. The drums were only manufactured, so far as I know, for the 7.62x39mm version. The RPK74 in 5.45x39mm has no drum magazines available for it, only a 45-round extended magazine.

Unless this is from that alternate Cold War universe where the Warsaw Pact was armed with what we in the US prior to the early 1990s thought they were armed with. But that gets very confusing very quickly. We thought the Tunguska had a GSh30M electric gatling gun and launch tubes for the 9K31 bolted onto the sides of the turret, for example. We thought the BMP2 (Our recognition manuals called it the “BMP-B”) had a 23mm autocannon. And don’t even get me started on what we thought we knew about how Frontal Aviation was organized and equipped.
