Original Description:
 
This is one of the non player characters I created for the current adventure of our Tails of Equestria pen and paper role playing game.  
This character is Captain Magister Wavebolt, the Captain of the “Bunte Yak” (Colorful Yak) a ship of which I’m going to upload an image too.  
I cannot at this point tell everyting that could be told about this shellback sailor pony lest there are any spoilers for the players in the group. His bubble pipe by the way is a meteorological instrument showing him the direction of the wind as well as air pressure (by the altitude in which the bubbles burst).  
To play this character I learned some lines of a form of “Plattdeutsch” (an old northern German dialect / language) that is often associated with sailors.  
One little historical alusion which I don’t think anybody caught (but which is absolutely not necessary to solve the adventures) is that the name is a reference to “Magister Wigbolt” a little known 14th century German pirate.
