Despite his mean exterior, Mud Rose actually does display kindness and care towards those close to him (though they are few and far between). He has a silver tongue and comes off extremely charismatic, but that doesn’t mean he particularly likes others; he simply tolerates them. He has a calm mind, and doesn’t tend to freak out in dire situations, he will usually take charge during them.

He is extrememly secretive and doesn’t open up to many, he has a large, thick wall that is almost impossible to crack, let alone break through. He certainly doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve, and comes off a lot more cold than he actually is on the inside (though he can be quite cold). He’s not easy to convince, and stays true to his own opinions a lot of the time. If you want him to believe you, he needs solid proof.

Mud Rose tends to look others up and down when he meets them, and judges them harshly on their appearance and mannerisms; it’s hard to make a good first impression for him. He can have quite a disregard for the feelings of others, but only to those who’ve gotten on his bad side, if you’ve just met, he’s not going to snap at you immediately, unless the first thing that drops from your jaws is an insult. Once you get on his bad side, it’s extremely difficult to get out of it, and he might resent you for the rest of his life.

Mud Rose was the first born son to Miriam Rose and Rippling Fire. His life was pretty perfect up until the age of 5, where his parents announced that they were expecting a second foal. Mud Rose was excited to have a little brother or sister at first, and couldn’t wait until they were old enough to play! It didn’t take long until his little brother, Lost Rose, arrived.

It was nice, at first.. Before long, their parents became neglectful and lazy, and would often shove all the work onto Mud Rose. “Change your brother!”, “Feed your brother!”, “Watch your brother!” Threatening worse and worse punishments whenever the young foal wouldn’t cooperate.

Adolescent [ 6 - 18 ]

As Mud Rose grew older, he also grew to greatly resent his brother. His parents had loved him just fine before he came along and ruined everything. Why did they even have a second foal anyway? What was wrong with just him? They didn’t even take care of Lost Rose.

As much as he wanted to, he couldn’t leave Lost Rose while he was small and helpless, however as he grew closer into becoming a stallion, Mud Rose discovered his talent as an animal wrangler, and started a business in pest control. Feral dogs, bats, cats, pets turned sour, he would tackle anything.

Adult [ 18- ]
Once he gathered enough money, Mud Rose set out to move out as far from his parents as possible, finding a place in Magehaven. He remained there, gaining more business in the bigger city. Street dogs tended to appear in Magehaven more than Oldwood, which only benefit his business.
