Meet Applejack, Big Mac, and Apple Bloom’s granddaddy - Grand Pear. Never expected the Apple Family’s current generation to be part Pear. It’s a very surprising discovery. Though it’s so sad that the relationship between the two fruit-growing families was one of enmity (despite the fact that both apples and pears are both from the same family). I have to admit I wasn’t too fond of Grand Pear’s stubborness, hatred towards the Apples, and pride, and how he cut ties when his daughter, Pear Butter, chose to be with her true love, Bright Mac. It cost him to be with her until her and his son-in-law’s death. But I am glad that he decided to return to Ponyville to make amends. Now he’ll get to be with his grandchildren. William Shatner did a great job doing his voice. Definitely the best choice.
