Backstory: Flaring Shield started off as a shy and awkward colt in Cloudsdale. Despite his intelligence, he was ridiculed for being shy. His family and teachers encouraged him to socialize and make friends, but he didn’t want to. One day, Flaring Shield flew out of Cloudsdale and into Canterlot when he was learning about the city. Upon arriving in Canterlot, he became friends with a kindhearted unicorn named Blossom. However, he didn’t fall in love with her until one day, when he earned his cutie mark while he was protecting her from a fire that broke out in Canterlot. At the same time, Blossom also developed feelings for him, but they both weren’t ready to tell each other about how they felt until one Hearts and Hooves Day, where Queen Chrysalis, under the guise of Blossom, tried to pursue Flaring into giving her his love. Fortunately, Blossom was able to stop Chrysalis before it was too late, and she and Flaring Shield ended up together since.
 
News of Flaring and Blossom’s relationship spread all over Canterlot, which prompted rumors that Flaring Shield wasn’t truly in love with Blossom, but rather, he was in love with stallions. Despite the fact that Flaring’s attraction to stallions was true, however, Flaring decided to stay loyal to his lover. The couple’s popularity would inspire Julia to illustrate a drawing of them which helped unite Alyssa Rice and Friends.
 
Soon, Flaring, Blossom, and Alyssa Rice and Friends were sent to the Sky and Jungle Kingdom after its return, where both kingdoms were still affected by darkness. However, with the help of Alyssa and her friends, Flaring and Blossom were able to defeat Lord Draven by spreading love and positivity throughout both kingdoms. Flaring Shield and Blossom each became co-ruler of the Sky Kingdom and Jungle Kingdom, respectively.
 
Since their new ruling, Prince Flaring Shield has also become the Captain of the Sky Kingdom’s Royal Guards, and his duty is to protect his citizens from darkness.
 

 
I remember redesigning both him and Princess Blossom a while back, but I didn’t feel like posting them until now.
 
By the way, about the history of the Jungle and Sky Kingdom, and Alyssa Rice and Friends, I decided to change a bot of both Flaring and Blossom’s backstories, so of course, I might have to update the backstories of Alyssa Rice and Friends soon, so I apologize if there’s any outdated information in Alyssa’s backstory (It’s worth mentioning that I posted it two years ago). Sweating a little…
