A new foal was born during the night, so her family brings her out in the morning sunlight. They are very happy that the birth happened before dawn; her older brother is one of Celestia’s, and it is a blessing to have one child of each. As her father walks slowly beside her, ready to catch any stumbles, her mother lets Celestia’s warmth soothe some of the remaining aches in her body, just as the scent of Gaia’s soil soothes her mind.
In a little while, they will head towards the village, to present their newest family member and ask Gaia to gift her a name. But for now, they let her practise trotting around in Celestia’s sunlight and have the second meal of her life.
