Notes from Grim’s diary:
After a hard day of excavation in the ruins, (Mostly digging up what the girls tell me is interesting) a good explorer needs to find a good source of refreshment. Be It the nearest watering hole. Of a five star hotel.
Luckily, when you know the outbacks like the back of your hoof. There is no need to compromise.
I’ve frequented just about as manny honkey tonks and bars as dusty old ruins. I know what places to recommend. And which to avoid. __
Even an intrepid explorer like myself knows when to stay on the path. To keep the girls safe, of course. Both from the scammers of overpriced cafeys – to the back alleys one simply should not travel down.
The places of the lawless, the unwelcoming and the unsavory, who views the unwary as a tasty treat. Literally.
There is no reason for one whose life is already dodging the dangers of the unsafe depths of ruins and dungeons , to go looking for danger where its known to be found.
However. Safety seems to be the last thing on Miveras mind. Particularly when it comes to food. And she would not be dissuaded by either warnings or by the foul odors that spoke of the nasty kinds of things they grilled in the depths of the carnivores.
Sadly – with the corrosive carnivore inside our midst, we found ourselves outvoted.
