The sloop Mandatory Friendship fired its three port side 12pdrs down on the lower deck along with its two 6pdrs on the main deck. Punctuating the thunderous roar of the main guns was the sharper cracks of numerous swivel guns, muskets, and fowling pieces fired by the sloop’s crew. Adding extra color fusillade was a rainbow of various color beams from unicorn horns on both sides.
 
Captain Rarity watched as the chain-shot and bar-shot tore off chunks out of the brigantine schooner’s mainmast along with ripping great holes in sails and shredding the rigging. The sloop wasn’t trying to sink the larger ship. It was simply trying to prevent it from escaping. Then they’d board it and capture it.
 
Rarity looked down and ran her hand along the railing of her ship. The Mandatory Friendship had served her and her crew well, but ever since she’d seen the Sea Mare anchored in Cabo San Luna she’d yearned for it. This ship would allow her and her crew operate for much longer and bring back way more swag.
 
For it’s part the Sea Mare wasn’t going down without a fight, but Rarity knew that the crew’s spirit wasn’t really there. As a result of several rounds of bought drinks bought in Cabo San Luna. A couple hands of friendly cards, some silver ending up in the right pockets, and some skillful pillow talk. Rarity and her crew had learned that the crew of the Sea Mare chafing at not getting the pay they’d been promised. The promise of bits and prospect of more in the future would sway many of the crew, and those who weren’t swayed. Well. There were other methods for dealing with them.
 
Fluttershy squinted down the long barrel of a fowling piece and waited until the rolling of the sloop brought her target into her sight. There was a flash of powder in the pan following by great cloud of blue smoke as the fowling piece shoved the mare back. When smoke cleared the chiffon yellow mare could see that the crystal ward preventing hostile fliers from landing on the deck was now shattered.
 
The mare felt a slight squirming and patting between her breasts. Glancing down she saw Angel Bunny sitting in her cleavage grinning up at her. The mare smiled herself and then set the fowling piece aside; picking up a brass barrel blunderbuss and sprinted over to where Rarity and Rainbow Dash were standing.
 
“Um, Captain. Uh the ward is down and we can board whenever you want to!” She glanced down at Angel. “ Oh, and the initial assault team is ready to go!”
 
Rarity smiled. Fluttershy was usually very quiet and reserved, but when powder started burning she became very enthusiastic. As white unicorn noted her very perky nipples. Rarity gave the orders to have sloop to be brought along side the schooner. As this happened Fluttershy carefully loaded blunderbuss. Taking extra care to pack plenty of tow wadding on top of the powder charge. White the pegasus was prepping the weapon Angel was drawing two small, single edged knives.
 
Rainbow Dash returned to Rarity’s side having left to make final preparations. “Captain! The boarding party is ready and Master Gunner AJ has canister shot loaded in all the guns! What’s your order!”
 
The unicorn glanced over at Fluttershy. “Well. We shouldn’t keep them waiting. Flutters dear. Please send the initial assault team over.”
 
Fluttershy carefully lifted Angel Bunny out her cleavage and set the white rabbit in the barrel of the blunderbuss so his head and front legs were sticking out of the barrel. The she brought the piece to full cock and raised it to her shoulder. Having roughly figured where the captain of the schooner was taking cover she aimed and pulled the trigger. The blunderbuss gave her a mighty kick and Angel was went sailing through the air and over onto the other ship. There was no immediate effect but soon one could hear the sounds of shrieks and screams as Angel started earning his pay.
 
Rainbow grinned. “All crew! Lets get our captain a new boat!”
 
This is one of the drawings I started during last night Picarto stream. Since the 19th of September was International Talk Like A Pirate Day it was a pirate themed stream. This is the story that popped into my head as I was drawing.
