The original idea for Netflix month was rattling in our heads (mine and Charon’s) well before this whole pandemic started. With all cinemas closing, and businesses being put on hold, it made sense to us to go ahead with this idea. What we didn’t anticipate was the scale of this current situation, what with movies and movie themed events being delayed until the end of the year, or even next year. Movie Slate’s blog has never been about keeping up with what’s in theatres, as she’s always had her own rhythm, but since things aren’t going to be resolved, and Netflix offers a wide variety of options, we might as well take the opportunity and talk about them.
 
Does this mean we’re doing series as well? Oh man, you bet we are.
 
I’m still trying to figure out what to do for a faster, more efficient manner of making updates, and I think droakir’s approach of making comic strips is going to be the way to go. Heavily inked, no color, stylized to a certain extent. I just need to figure out a way to do it efficiently and fast. Also a proper way to approach it so it doesn’t interfere with my work schedule.
