Today, we start a new Let’s Draw series and I call my latest project, “Twilight’s Ascension”. I’ve been dying to draw this for a long time and now that I’ve finally caught up with the last season, I feel like I can actually create it. This drawing depicts Twilight Sparkle during 4 significant stages of her life. The first is Twilight as a little filly when she earned her cutie mark from religiously studying magic and getting accepted into Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns. The second is Twilight as a grown unicorn when she discovered the Elements of Harmony and the rest of the mane six. The third is Twilight as an alicorn when she quite literally earned her wings becoming the Princess of Friendship. Finally, the fourth is a towering Twilight overtaking Celestia’s position as the leader of Equestria and she becomes the tutor for Luster Dawn, thus starting the cycle of friendship all over again.  
When sketching this, I realized that I made a bit of a mistake and that is how they’re positioned. I started out drawing filly Twilight and worked my way to the top but I left too much room at the bottom and you can’t see the very top of finale Twilight’s head. The characters are also a little bit off center. But don’t worry, these issues will be fixed in later parts(likely around part 5) when I begin to color this in on Adobe Photoshop.
