Bio:
Confettina Cheese Cake Pie (a.k.a. Confetti Cake f.k.a. Connie) is the younger of the two Pie children by a mere minute and thirty-seven seconds. Her twin is Cheyrl Quartz Chimichanga Pie (better known as Cherry Chimichanga), and these two are as inseparable as the closest of twins can be. However, Connie is a little more subdued than her almost-literally crazy sister. She’s peppy and perky and an all-around lovely pony to be around. Like her beloved mother, she has a penchant for bursting into chipper and upbeat (not to mention catchy) songs, but has four left hooves. She can’t dance to save her life in any way shape or form, no matter how many times daddy Cheese let her step on his hooves. She doesn’t mind though. Her hooves are the most reliable thing she has. Connie’s passion in life is baking cakes. She can throw together pretty much any dessert, but her very namesake is what brings her joy in life.
Of course, Pinkie Pie taught her daughters to bake from a very early age. They were always eager to help Momma Pie in the kitchen, and there were so many yummy treats to try! Connie became fascinated with the cakes her mother would make - she spent hours once staring at a wedding cake decorated with lavish flowers and petals. She could smell the very thing (a very strong berry) and got just that little too close…and completely smashed a frosting flower with her muzzle. Panicking (as this wedding cake was for the intimidating Tempest Berrytwist), Connie grabbed up all frosting colors she could find. Moving her hooves in the exact same way as she’d watched her mother, she carefully placed another purple rose over the one still caked onto her muzzle.
She didn’t know Pinkie had watched the whole thing until she complimented her daughter on her craftsmanship and kissed the frosting off her nose. Immediately jumping upon her daughter’s potential, Pinkie set to teach her all she knew about baking cakes. Connie took off with the information, and earned her unique cutie mark after the National Dessert Competition in Canterlot. The moment she saw the blue ribbon placed next to her geode cake (inspired by her Auntie Maud), her very heart sang and that flash of light she’d been hoping for appeared on her flank.
Connie creates incredibly elaborate cakes. Each of her creations is delicious (and, no, she’ll never reveal the secret as to how her cakes never go stale), and is often sold on special occasions at Sugarcube Corner. Because of her dedication to her craft, Connie can be a little bit of a perfectionist, and stay up until Celestia raises the sun the next day. But by golly, this seventeen-layered cake that is an actually-working, edible fountain is done! Now to move it from the kitchen into the shop…
