These Agents work for a secretive global organization known as the Technological Consortium, or just “The Consortium” or TEC for short, which holds science and technology in the highest regard and has secretly safeguarded Humanity from the supernatural and other threats for centuries.
AGENTS
The Agents represent the Consortium throughout the series, especially in season 1 when the existence of the Consortium is not fully revealed. They observe and pursue targets, and meet with special individuals or groups the Consortium hopes to open negotiations of some sort with, and act as bodyguards and low level security, and are also dispatched to issue warnings to certain people who are interfering with something the Consortium is interested in, such as the Rainbooms.
IN THE FAN FICTION
The Agents appears as early as the first episode, bumping into the Rainbooms as they investigate their first fully native Human world supernatural phenomenon - A Lychanthrope, AKA a Werewolf. The Agents are the most visible aspect of the Consortium in Season 1 when the existence of their organization is still a mystery, but are encountered sometimes by the Rainbooms when they are undertaking some kind of investigation involving the paranormal or some kind of dangerous scientific or technological anomaly. They are also sometimes seen observing the Rainbooms or other characters, and Agents are sent to speak to Doctor Time-Turner Whooves in his introductory episode, whose inventions and genius the Consortium desires. In season 2, when the existence of the Consortium is known, the Agents are sometimes sent to deliver a warning to one or more of the Rainbooms. Usually it’s someone like Agent Sweetie Drops or Human Shimmer who delivers warnings to the Rainbooms post Season 1, but the Rainbooms are sometimes approached by these People in Black instead, giving ominous warnings about how they are aware of their involvement in something and to either cease and desist or to tell them to stay away.
SOLDIERS
The Consortium’s Soldiers and Guards are stationed en-mass at their bases and outposts, and are sent to respond to especially dangerous threats, such as dangerous Monsters or technology, Super Villains or to suppress and or contain large-scale attacks or incursions, such as dimensional breeches which see many Spirits or other otherworldly beings pour into the Human world.
They are armed with advanced armour and energy weapons, and their helmets are also fitted with advanced sensors, respirators, communication systems, head mounted light and several alternate vision modes, including infra-red. Due to the fact I am writing this series in a hopefully faithful manner to the actual series, I try to keep things realisticly restrained, and their weapons would not be used in a “lethal” manner, firing concussive energy blasts to knock down or stun targets. I went with energy weapons partially to show how advanced the technology available to the Technological Consortium is, but also because I’m sure deadly, conventional firearms would be a huge no-no at Hasbro for a series like Friendship is Magic and Equestria Girls.
IN THE FAN FICTION
The Soldiers of the Technological Consortium are not shown to be active until Season 2, when the viewers would be aware of the existence of the Technological Consortium due to the events of the Season 1 two-part finale, where we actually see their base and other holdings, which have many Guards and Soldiers present.

THE FAN FICTION
I am in the process of writing a road-map and world building for a fan-fiction series based in the Equestria Girls setting. Basically, I am writing it like a television series, averaging at 6 seasons with 25 episodes per season, and written in the style and tone of the actual show. It’s basically what I would do if I was the writer for the actual Equestria Girls series.
