Seconds wore on into minutes as he struggled, and somehow… he wasn’t passing out from lack of breath, despite every instinct within him screaming at him that he needed to breath, the burning fire within his chest fueling his struggle. But to no avail, more and more of his writhing form was lost beneath the golden caramel, silver fur and feathers vanishing into the candy.
 
He felt the caramel twist up around his neck and over his head, leaving only his eyes free from the perilous hug of caramel that covered the entirety of his form now. He wobbled where he was stood on his caramel cocoon before he was yanked backward sharply, eyes widening as he realized he was being drawn back into the sarcophagus with a solid thunk as his body heavily fell into the chocolate tomb, the enveloping caramel smoothing into a more solid surface as he was left staring up at the ceiling, wondering how it coil get any worse.
 
Messier’s unspoken question was answered with a wet plop from above, as a thick globule of melty chocolate landed onto his shrouded beak. His eyes widened once more at the realization of what was to follow, squirming and bucking in place as he tried to lever his hobbled form out of the sarcophagus. The warm embrace of a solid stream of melted chocolate began to flow down around him, filling the void in the sarcophagus with the rich chocolate, his struggles muted by the flooding chocolate.
