Personality:  
Somerset Sour Cider is the sweetest, most innocent pony you’ll ever meet! At least, that’s what Discovery and their parents would say. Honeycrisp would argue that under that facade lies a dirty liar, one who is innocent around adults but a scheming weasel towards those they don’t like. No one believes Honey, since Somerset is go good at hiding their true nature under a rather convincing act. Those who know their motives might suspect that Somerset is a villain in the making, manipulating others for their own gain. Really, they just enjoy messing with Honeycrisp just to test her. Because of Somerset’s tendency to lie and put up a facade, they are very good at telling when another is doing the same and are quick to call them out on it, actually doing something good for once. Nobody really knows the true motives behind Somerset’s actions, but regardless, they sure are good at getting their way when they want to.  
Relationships:  
Big Mac and Sugar Belle adore Somerset to pieces; their baby is the apple of their eye who can do no wrong. They spoil them a lot and are oblivious to their compulsive lying tendencies, which Somerset takes advantage of. They do love their parents in return; they have always been genuinely supportive of them, plus Big Mac was the one to inspire their love of cider brewing. They just also like being spoiled.  
Like his Pa and Step-Ma, Discovery also spoils Somerset. He showers them with love, attention, gifts, and will take them out and about for sibling bonding time, because he loves them so much. However, Somerset and Honeycrisp do not get along at all. Somerset seemingly goes out of their way to make Honey’s life a living hell, so they’re constantly at odds. Yet, deep down, Somerset admires Honey for her intelligence and picks on her to test her limits. She’s different from the rest of the family and they respect her for that.  
One of the few ponies Somerset genuinely respects is their cousin Spittoon Spur. She’s the type who commands respect so they would never mess with her, but they also genuinely enjoy spending time with her. As a fellow transgender pony, she was the one to help them find themselves and come out when they were younger. Somerset and Spittoon share a lot of opinions in general which makes it easy for them to bond. Still, Somerset would rather not let her know the full extent of how much they mess with the rest of their family or she would have their hide for sure.  
Somerset isn’t particularly close with the rest of the Apple family. They enjoy that most of them are just as oblivious as their parents and brother and they enjoy sucking up to them, but they don’t care to go out of their way to spend time with most of their extended family members. Somerset’s Aunt AJ is one pony they would never mess with, however. She’s the Element of Honesty and they know she wouldn’t tolerate any of their bull, so they don’t try to pull tricks with her.  
Cutie Mark:  
Somerset’s cutie mark is a cider mug and a barrel, just what one would expect of a cider brewer. It is a specialty of theirs, learned from the Apple family. However, Somerset has other talents that lay further below the surface, such as lying and, in turn, detecting lies. They could make a career out of it, but most don’t recognize their hidden talent.
