Personality:  
Unlike most dragons who are greedy and hot-tempered, Burgeon Flare is a more friendly and levelheaded dragon. She is not one for aggression, instead going for a more practical and sane approach to solving problems. Burge is very patient and reasonable but even she has her boundaries, willing to stand up and fight for herself and others when needed. She is fiercely independent and quite adventurous, but sometimes struggles to balance the wants and needs of others with her own. But ultimately, nobody owns Burge but herself and she’s free to live her life as she chooses.  
Relationships:  
Burge has a complicated relationship with her mother. As the eldest child, Ember places a lot of expectations on Burge to uphold a legacy of honor and warrior-like strength. She thinks she is doing her daughter a favor by setting her on a path that her own father would never have allowed, but it’s not a path Burge wants at all. Burge’s dads are much more supportive and affectionate towards her than her mother who “doesn’t do feelings.”  
As the oldest, most dependable child, Burge has always been responsible to some degree for looking after her younger siblings and being a good role model for them. Sometimes Emerald or Pupa will tag along on some of her less-crazy outings, and she doesn’t mind spending time with them. But she can’t help but envy how easy they (especially Pupa) have got it in terms of the expectations put on them and the different treatment they get from their mother.  
Bedlam has been Burge’s best friend for almost as long as she can remember. A wild and mischievous draconequus, Bedlam brings out Burge’s more adventurous side, but Burge is saner by far and keeps the two out of trouble. However, Ember doesn’t like Bedlam, so she tries to set Burge up with other dragons like Inferno just to keep that “bad influence” away from her. Burge would take Bedlam over that asshole Inferno any day, no matter what her mom says…even though they’re just gal-pals, right?
