I’ve been wanting to update Ground’s reference sheet for a while now. Not only was the old one starting to bug me, but there were several important things it didn’t show. I discovered that for myself while doing several illustrations from odd angles, and as a result his design has been a bit inconsistent over the last year. This time, I’ve added a few different references to cover those angles, like what the chest and belly look like, and the face from the front.

Something else I’ve also wanted to do for a while is give him a seapony form. My explanation for Ground Pounder in the context of mlp canon is that he’s a pegasus/hippogriff hybrid, and I wanted to showcase that better. I’d really like to do some illustrations with this form now. :D
