A shy freshman of Canterlot High and the son of a divorced jewelry store owner, Jewel Cutter has had a crush on Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo for as long as he can remember. Yes, you read right, he has a crush on all three of them. Why? He can’t really say. Although the girls are vastly different in personality, they are all beautiful, kind, talented, funny, and overall the kind of girls that Jewel wants to spend the rest of his life with. However, outside of a little small talk here and there, Jewel Cutter is too shy to actually approach the girls and ask them all out on a date and he knows for certain that they wouldn’t ever date the same guy at once. And although he tries, he can’t seem to think of a solution that would let the girls forget about that little detail. That is, until, a gypsy woman sets up shop next to his mother’s store. Once that happens, a plan begins to form in the freshman’s mind. Borrowing 3 pink, heart-shaped necklaces and a silver ring with a blue gem embedded in it from his mother’s store, Jewel Cutter takes them to the gypsy’s shop and has her bless the necklaces with something called the ‘Want it, Need it’ charm. According to the gypsy, the charm will cause the wearers of the necklaces to fall madly in love with whoever is wearing the ring (i.e. the Crusaders and Jewel Cutter respectively). Although a little guilty about using magic on three of his classmates, Jewel agrees to the terms and anonymously sends each of the necklaces to the Crusaders, hoping that the spell actually works….
Two days later, the Crusaders meet up at the (rather quiet) Canterlot Mall Cinema for another meeting of the Canterlot Movie Club. This time however, the girls are each wearing a heart-shaped necklace that they all got in the mail and were told was part of a promotion held by the mall. As they talk whilst waiting for their theater to open up, Sweetie Belle mentioned how her mind seemed to go blank for at least a minute after putting her necklace on. Apple Bloom and Scootaloo claim that the same thing happened to them (with Scootaloo adding that she in particular heard a voice telling her something), but the trio brushes it off as a strange coincidence. This was, of course, the magic of the necklaces making it’s way into the girls’ subconsciouses, but they are unaware of this.
At that moment, Jewel Cutter arrives at the theater wearing the now-enchanted ring. Taking a deep breath, he makes his way over to his crushes and says hello to get their attention. The girls turn towards him and instantly fall under the ‘Want it, Need it’ charm, their normal eyes vanishing and immediatly getting replaced with a pair of pink hearts. Now completely enamored with the boy in front of them, the girls let their new emotions for him show with Apple Bloom pulling him into a tight hug, Sweetie Belle showering him with kisses, and Scootaloo promising that she and her friends will be the best girlfriends in the universe. After getting his three new lovers to calm down, Jewel Cutter accepts the Crusaders’ love and offers to take them to lunch in the food court, which they readily accept.
Having finally won the hearts of his dream girls, Jewel Cutter walks out of the theater with the Crusaders following closely, all four ready to spend the rest of their lives with one another….
