I’ve been getting into Dungeons and Dragons lately, and I recently thought to myself, “Hey. Why don’t I take some of my favorite characters and turn them into playable characters in D&D?” So I did, of course, drawing from My Little Pony and Doctor Who. These are but a few of the results.
 
Twilight Sparkle – Bronze Dragonborn, Loremaster Wizard, and Cloistered Scholar
 
I chose Bronze because I felt that metallic hues suited Twilight better, and because it’s one of only two options that lists the breath weapon as lightning, which I felt was sufficiently arcane.  
The reasons behind ‘Wizard’ are fairly clear – she studies all the time anyway. The School of Lore Mastery in particular enables such benefits as giving the player double proficiency in certain knowledge-based skills and allowing her to switch out types of damage in a spell.  
Cloistered Scholar was another easy one – up until Celestia kicked her out of the castle, she fit this description to a ‘T’. I’ll admit there was a good case to be made for ‘sage’, but this particular background has a feature called ‘Library Access’, and I wasn’t going to pass that one up.
