“Tea for you, Miss Fuzzy!” She pushed a teacup over to one of her tarantulas. “And a cookie for you, Millie!” She passed a cookie over to a millipede. She took another half-eaten cookie that one of her cockroaches had been feasting on and shoved it in her mouth.
Her mother Ember watched in concern. “Is…is this normal?”
“Little ponies have tea parties all the time,” Spike answered.
“And changelings too,” Thorax added.
“Though usually not with bugs…”
Thorax chuckled. “Oh, let her have her fun! She’s happy.”
Pupa turned to her parents, a wide, hopeful grin on her face. “Mommy! Daddy! Papa! Play with me, please?”
After encouraging looks from her husbands, Ember gave a good-natured smile. “Of course, Pupa.”
