I really wanted to draw Serina’s egg and I also wanted to draw Discord so why not combine the two?

So why didn’t Fluttershy just give birth to bebe? 🤔
Simple answer! She is too small for that! ~~And she doesn’t want to be a different species and also be pregnant at the same time~~

Fluttershy and Discord had been married for a long time before they decided to have a child. Specifically 4 years. Discord always wanted to spread his mischief into another being, and so when Fluttershy brought up the possibility of having a child, he was beyond the moon with joy.
Of course, it wasn’t as simple as that though. The two of them had to decide the best/easiest/most efficient way to have an interspecies offspring. They knew there were five options:
-The two of them stay the same, risking Fluttershy’s life in turn.
-Fluttershy becomes a draconequus, making the child a full draconequus with no pony features at all.
-Discord becomes a pony, making the child a full pony with no draconequus features at all.
-They magically spawn a child, without ever having the excitement of waiting or seeing it being born or hatched.
-They spawn an egg, at the cost of incubating it within a schedule, but they get to see it hatch.

…They went with the obvious.
So there they were, with a magically spawned egg. Even before Serina had even hatched, Fluttershy and Discord were treating her as if she had. Fluttershy would watch as the animals examined her in curiosity, Discord would incubate her with magical fire from his paws, Fluttershy would make sure she was clean and didn’t have any scratches, they would both share movie night with her, while also sharing nap-time with her.
They couldn’t believe they had gotten so attached to something that wasn’t even hatched yet. But, I guess that’s just how parenting works.
