Description
Page 891 - Pair o’ DiceI’ve actually personally had some new experience with bad rolling recently. In the 4e campaign I’m playing in, I can’t seem to make an attack roll above a 5 to save my life. Thankfully I’m a Bard, so I have other ways to contribute to the fight, but still… I’m not a superstitious person, or at least I don’t consider myself one, but after a point you start to wonder what’s actually happening, whether it’s you or the dice.Anyway, this arc’s aiming to wrap up within the month, so guest comic season is informally open. I’m also still looking for a vector artist who can work in the show’s style for a few mainline pages down the road…
Transcript:
Applejack: Really? We’re gonna go huntin’ for the “lucky die?” We don’t do that sort of thing here.
Pinkie Pie: But isn’t there always one power-gamer in the group who does stuff like pre-roll the 1s out?
DM: Not at my table. And probably not in the real world.
Rarity: In my experience, “curses” have less to do with the dice than the hand rolling them. Darling, when you throw this next one, don’t just plop it onto the table like you usually do. Give it some force and momentum; really let it roll. In fact, let’s clear off some space…
Twilight Sparkle: It’s funny – last month I was looking up how to create a “loaded” d20, and it led me down this rabbit hole about dice manufacturers…
DM: Why were you looking up how to cheat?!
Twilight Sparkle: Because I had never considered the possibility before. I thought it was interesting. …I wasn’t going to actually do it!
DM: Let me see your dice.
