totally original crossover time!  
I saw so much tmnt/mlp crossovers the last few weeks it was almost impossible to NOT be a part of it! Some of the pony designs I liked and some I didn’t, and after seeing so many different ones I felt inspired by them to make my own design for these dudes!
 
their pony designs are based on the 2k12 cartoon. I tried to make each of them feel different to make their features and personalities stand out!
 
Donnie has longer legs, Mikey is a bit shorter, raph has a pointy nose, e.g.. Also their ‘breeds’ are reflections of their personalities:
 
I always considered Mikey being the fastest and most agile of his brothers, thus he being a pegasus  
In Equestria magic and technology are tightly knit together, so for his talent to be really of use Donny must be a unicorn  
Both Leo and Raph take a shining to physical skills, it being with pure strength or through kata’s and form respectively. Thus it would make sense for them to both be earth ponies.
 
the thing I struggled with the most however, were the manes and the cutie marks! I didn’t want to include their weapons in them, as those do not define who they are on the inside, ya know? as for their manes, I tried to catch a bit of their personality in them….
 
If you read all of that, good for you! it was probably a waste of time! XD
