Yes not only has it been confirmed that MLP: FIM is ending this year, but so is Equestria Girls. Nick confirmed that Sunset Backstage was the final special. Now it’s not all bad, he did say there are a few more shorts left of Season 2….but that’s it, they did not get to do a season finale of season 2 and there is no Season 3(This was to the surprise of the entire team behind Equestria Girls) Hasbro is going for a full reboot but as Tara Strong put it “That’s the nature of the business”

I salute everyone and DHX and wish them the best of luck on future animated shows, MLP made them a household name in Canada, and I’m happy to tell you that they have move on to new animated shows and projects.
