Page 394 - The Doozy

If there’s one aspect of this arc that’s been hanging over like the Sword of Damocles, it’s been the moral of the episode. When this arc was just getting started, the ending was in a quantum state, flipping between many different possible resolutions. I couldn’t decide on a message for the longest time.

Now that the waveform has collapsed, I’m actually rather happy with how it turned out. (Also, if I’m mixing up my physics metaphors, please don’t shoot me.)

Twilight Sparkle: We know where the Taraxippus will be! It’s heading for Froggy Bottom Bog.
Applejack: You what?
Fluttershy: Isn’t that where I was taking my frogs earlier?
Twilight Sparkle: That’s right. Head there with your frogs and just act normal. The rest of us will catch up shortly.
Applejack: Wait, wait, wait. When we left, you were still arguin’ about Pinkie Sense. Don’t leave us hangin’ now. If we’re back on track, then that means you figured it out, right?
Twilight Sparkle: Yes we did! We agreed that it comes down to just Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie. Now, shall we?
Fluttershy: Did… she change character sheets?
PM: I know! I’m just as surprised as you!
