The end of a decade, a life changing decade.
One that began in a way no-one really expected.
Filled with many things, to many to remember.

It has kept me going, I’ve made more art in this decade than my entire life before it combined. To be
fair, I wasn’t really an artist until the years 2009-2010-2011, but really only making a lot starting 2012.
Since then I’ve made more than 200 Applejacks. More than any other character. It gives ground for
comparison, to see how different my styles are, how things have evolved, what I’ve chosen or not.

We’ll see where the next decade takes me.

Painting this I stepped back into my more photo mentality as opposed to traditional painting
aesthetics. The challenge I chose today was the head on portrait photo, more narrow focus.
Both eyes and face oriented towards the camera. A locked symmetrical stare. Something
I don’t often do, and I knew I had to balance properly. Some struggles later, here we go.

One final Applejack for this decade.
