“Actually, Rockhead, I w-wanted to, uh, show you that I checked out that book from Pansy’s library. The one you told me to get, to get myself a ‘proper education.’”
“Ah, yes, well. I am pleased to see somecreature taking my advice. I do want to inquire - have you reached the chapter on Equestria’s first conquest of Griffonia, in which the township was broken down into Griffinstone? Its my favorite.”
“A-actually, Rocky, there are…uhh…some really, super big words in there, I don’t know what they mean. I thought we could visit Aunt Maudie’s grotto so we could, uh, read quietly.”
“Quiet? You? I highly doubt that’s physically, theoretically, or psychologically possible.”
“Awww, c’mon, please Rocky? It’ll just be you and me and Maud so it’ll be super DUPER quiet.”
”…”
”…”
”…fine.”

Rocky still doesn’t know why he went with Harmony that day. She was certainly not quiet in the least, and Rocky was fairly sure she knew more than seventy-five percent of the words she asked him to define for her. Then asking why this soldier did this, or this king did that, and like a fool, he did not tell her to look it up in the next chapter. Instead, Rocky allowed himself to fall into her devilish trap and explain the reasoning behind the wars, or the peace times, or the forming of the Wonderbolts. Only to have Harmony continually reply “that’s dumb.”
But…looking back on it now, Rocky finds that he doesn’t quite mind how everything turned out. After awhile her voice sorta just turns into white noise. It can even be peaceful to read by at times, this crazy creature’s chatter. What a wild concept.
My half an art trade with the ever-lovely, ever-amazing :iconpastel-charms: who has proven to be a dear friend and a source of support for me through some really difficult times. If ever I’m a little down because, say, a certain piece didn’t get as many comments as I thought - swoosh, there she is, leaving a little gem I always smile upon seeing.
There’s really no secret here - Rocky and Harmony are my OTP of the KOPverse. This is an amazing NextGen AU that Pastel has been building and creating over the last year and I highly suggest you check it out. Her stories are rich in content, her art quite lovely, and her personality welcoming and warm. Go check it out!
